Instructions

I've always loved Liquid Pearls for adding accents and confetti dots to my projects, but when Ranger's Patti Behan pointed out that Liquid Pearls are actually shimmery acrylic paint in convenient little bottles, it opened my mind up to LOTS more possibilities for using them!

Step 2: Trim a piece of Simon Hurley create. Stark White Cardstock to 6 x 4 1/4". On a palette or your Craft Sheet, dispense a small amount of Liquid Pearls in the following colors: Rouge, Outrageous, Lemon Chiffon, Sage and Ocean Blue, adding a drop or two of plain water to each color. Use a medium-sized flat brush to paint a stripe of each color so that they overlap slightly. Set aside and allow to dry completely.

Step 3: Add five to seven thin, dimensional lines of Diamond Stickles to the rainbow stripes from Step 2. Apply the Stickles directly from the bottle in continuous strokes, placing the Stickles at the intersections between colors, or wherever there is interesting movement inside one color. Set aside on a flat surface and allow to dry completely, preferably overnight.

Step 4: Stamp the three flowers from Simon Hurley’s create. Sentimental Flowers clear stamp set (plus three of the leaves) in Emboss It Clear Ink and sprinkle with Ranger White Embossing Powder. Melt the powder using the Ranger Heat It Craft Tool. Allow the embossed images to cool completely before proceeding.

Step 5: Use a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Domed Replacement Foams to apply Archival Ink to the embossed flowers and leaves. The largest flower is tinted with Aquamarine, the medium with Sun Dazed and the smallest with Rose Madder. For the leaves, use a combination of Sea Grass and Viridian. Using a small round brush and the leftover diluted Liquid Pearls, add Ocean Blue to the center of the blue flower, with a few streaks into the petals as well. Do the same using Rouge Liquid Pearls to the pink flower. (Note: the yellow flower is left plain.)
