Step 1: Using black Archival ink, stamp a variety of images onto white drawing or copy paper and cut them out. These are great to have on hand, ready to go whenever you are looking for the perfect addition to your journal page or tag.

Step 2: Spray, drip, and scribble a variety of Glosses onto an assortment of #8, #5, and #3 White Tags. Here I separated the tags into sets of 3 and used cool colors (Lapis, Peacock, and Legit) on one set and warm colors (Blushing, Cheddar, White, and Stoked) on the other.

Step 4: Look through the Collage Sparks books for colors and shapes that will complement your tags. Pull out some collage tissue and patterned transparencies to use in building up interest on the tags.

Step 5: Add collage layers to the tags. Combine pieces of transparency, tissue, collage sparks, and stamped images to create focal points on your tags. Attach with a stapler or ultra thick gel medium.

Step 6:  Using ultra thick gel medium, add phrases from the typed ledger papers to the focal point areas. Alternatively, you could add stamped phrases. Splatter with gloss - here, Ancient was used to add a little sparkle.

Step 7: I used the decorated sticky back canvas from my previous project to add a ribbon to the tags. Cut or rip the sticky back canvas into strips, then fold the strips in half lengthwise, so the sticky back sticks to itself. Feed the folded strip through the hole of the tag and tie. Cut to your desired length.
